We are currently seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join our growing construction team. Wolin Mechanical - Electrical is committed to our goal of Building Sustainable Solutions. Established in 1920, we are a full service Design Build MEP Contractor, built on long term relationships maintained through keeping our commitments and innovative collaboration. As a full service MEP contractor we provide HVAC, Plumbing, Industrial Process, Lighting, Low Voltage, BAS and Facility Support services.

  • Supports and provides input to develop strategies; goals and objectives specific to project execution at each project phase.
  • Oversees project activities, functions and resource use.
  • Identifies required resources to implement project strategies and achieve project goals.
  • Develops and manages project plans and schedules; scopes of work.
  • Defines project responsibilities and accountabilities to project management and engineering staff.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for project engineering staff during construction.
  • Transition project management and engineer activities from design to construction phase and construction to completion phase.
  • Documents and resolves subcontractor and vendor billing issues.
  • Mitigates risk on behalf of the company.
  • Assists the business development team in responding to requests for proposal and bid process.
  • Assumes financial responsibility for project including accurate, timely and relevant reporting to stakeholders.
  • Facilitates invoice payments from clients and to subcontractors.
  • Reviews subcontractor billing.
  • Prepares client and subcontractor change orders.
  • Monitors, controls and reports on the financial performance of projects.
  • Drafts subcontracts and purchase agreements.
  • Monitors and proofs change issue log.
  • Coaches and develops members of project team.
  • Mentors assigned project staff.
  • Develops project staffing plans to include labor, subcontractors, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
  • Five (5) years experience in project management, engineering, or construction is required.
  • Experience with working with a General Contractor or Major Mechanical Subcontractor required.
  • CPM, LEED, CPE professional designations is preferred.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
