Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical project management experience in the construction industry.
  • Multidiscipline project management experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, codes and regulations related to heavy industrial construction.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Check-out, commissioning, startup experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Familiar with scheduling tools/techniques (MS Project and/or Primavera).

Nice To Haves

  • Procore experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and direct a project team's mechanical engineering, design, procurement, and construction efforts to meet a customer's project objectives.
  • Provide, endorse, and enforce applicable project principles, practices, and guidelines.
  • Work with team members and management to identify team and project execution weaknesses and strengthen those areas.
  • Cultivate new work with clients and pursue additional opportunities for mechanical engineering, design, and construction services.
  • Evaluate RFQs to determine fit for ITAC; visit jobsites in preparation for bidding.
  • Prepare material take-offs and develop cost estimates.
  • Draft proposal letters, work scopes, schedules, and other key information needed to offer a bid.
  • Develop execution plans and schedules applying ITAC APM methods.
  • Host kick-off meetings with customers and ITAC team; establish project safety plans and expectations.
  • Provide technical information to field supervisors, subcontractors, safety personnel, and quality control personnel.
  • Update schedules and maintain cost control of the project.
  • Create 'Raving Fans' and repeat business opportunities.
