Where Potential Meets Purpose: Spees Design Build We are currently seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Project Engineer to join our growing A/E team in Spokane, WA . In this role, you will work directly with our Lead Mechanical Engineer and department leaders across the firm. Requirements

You have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
You have 1 to 6+ years of experience designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
You have experience coordinating with interdisciplinary teams.
You have experience with Revit and AutoCAD .
You have experience with HVAC load calculation software.
You are familiar with state and federal codes and industry standards.

Nice To Haves

Trace 3D experience is a plus.
Your LEED or WELL certification is a plus.
Your leadership or management experience is a plus.
Experience with federal design work and federal projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

HVAC load calculations
Verifying compliance with building codes, energy codes, and various standards.
Design calculations
Space planning and equipment layouts
Designing ductwork and piping systems
Specification editing and review
Visit project sites to gather design information and document existing conditions.
Be thorough and focused on design details.
Be comfortable with and proficient at communication with the internal design team and the client.
Have a willingness to assist with any required tasks.
Take ownership of the mechanical design scope of work for a project and ensure all project requirements are achieved.
Coordinate and manage a small mechanical team to produce a high-quality deliverable while meeting project deadlines.
Participate in activities and organizations related to our industry outside of daily business routines and develop peer relationships and technical growth.
