Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit
  • Excellent communication skills
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Project Designer in Mechanical Engineering in HVAC and/or plumbing design, controls, and hydronics
  • Ability to put a complete set of biddable construction documents together
  • Individual must be knowledgeable in commercial, educational, and/or municipal construction
  • Must be able to complete 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD/Revit
  • Possess a working knowledge of regularly used building codes
  • Comfortable working in an office environment
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team
  • Must have excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not required
  • EIT, PE License, or demonstrated progress toward these goals
  • LEED AP or other relevant certifications

Responsibilities

  • Use AutoCAD and Revit to prepare construction documents for plumbing and/or HVAC systems
  • Perform all applicable design calculations and system selections under the engineer’s oversight
  • Calculate building loads using Energy Pro or other energy modeling software
  • Work with the Project Manager to maintain project timelines and deadlines
  • Coordinate promptly with all parties involved in the project
