The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $X-Y at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

  • Supports simple and complex designs of parts and sub-system of complex machines. This includes design of machined, extruded, sheet metal and plastic parts.
  • Design and modeling of parts, product testing, and problem solving of designs/machines.
  • Participates in the design process from development, component test, sub-system integration, prototype machine builds and test, validation, and support of product release.
  • Prototype machine assembly may require lifting of up to fifty pounds and standing for up to eight hours per day.
  • Assists in determining the best method of testing, may assist in testing, understanding testing results as related to the product performance.
  • Assists in on-site product validation, ensuring products perform to the intended manner.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere both internal and external departments. This will include design reviews, team collaboration on designs and problems, and other project work.
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or advanced degree. Certification may be required in some areas.
  • Typically, 2-5 years of successful experience in related field
  • Experience with Machine Design.
  • Experience with solid modeling (Unigraphics NX is preferred).
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Applications system experience preferred.
  • Strong mechatronics abilities.
  • Experience in the material handling industry is a plus.
  • Experience in an Agile Development environment is a plus.
