As a Mechanical Product Design Engineer at Google Cloud, you will be at the forefront of designing and evaluating our data center systems. This role is critical as it involves identifying product requirements and contributing to research and project planning. You will be responsible for the entire product design life-cycle, which includes requirements gathering, concept generation, detailed design with analysis, verification testing, cross-functional reviews, and manufacturing release. Your work will directly impact the architecture that supports Google's vast array of services, from the chip to the chiller, ensuring that our systems are optimized for scalability and efficiency as Google continues to grow. In this position, you will leverage your technical expertise to lead and manage projects, develop product and process improvements, and provide consultation to other team members. You will create test plans, perform testing, and validate designs to meet engineering requirements, troubleshooting and resolving potential technical issues as they arise. Your influence will extend to shaping the technology road-map with data-driven decisions, identifying and scoping projects that present innovation opportunities as well as technology risks. Additionally, you will play a key role in mentoring team members, sharing your engineering knowledge, and fostering a collaborative environment.
