About The Position

We are looking for a Mechanical Plumbing Engineer or Designer with a minimum of 3 years of experience, who wants to work and grow as a team player within our progressive multi-discipline firm. Ideal applicants will be familiar in aspects of plumbing design and/or engineering. The desired individual should have a desire to work collaboratively as part of a multi-discipline engineering team. The mission of this role is to fill a key place in our plumbing design team focused on significant large scale mid-rise and high-rise residential projects. Experience in healthcare, education, data centers, and other target markets is also ideal. This Designer will want to grow as a technical leader, helping execute complex project design and while mentoring other staff. They will help us execute increasingly diverse and sophisticated projects while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience designing plumbing systems for multi-family residential or commercial buildings.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit is required.
  • Experienced with the latest release of Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and other CAD and BIM tools common to the discipline.
  • Works from detailed sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays, and simple isometric drawings.
  • Knowledge of codes and design and construction practices.
  • Detail oriented, possess a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Los Angeles or California experience (preferred)
  • B.A. or B.S. from an accredited college in related field (preferred).
  • California EIT Registration (preferred)
  • Experience in healthcare, education, data centers, and other target markets is also ideal.

Responsibilities

  • Performing engineering and/or design work with supervision.
  • Designing domestic water calculations and multi-system riser diagrams.
  • Analyzing sketches, notes, and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings.
  • Designing layouts, details, and overall system design for typical, discipline-specific systems.
  • Performing field observations and reports
  • Working with numerous project teams to assist with project completion.
  • Multi-tasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Contributing positively to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.
  • Performing other duties as may be assigned.

  • Approximate Base Salary – 85k-100k based on experience
