About The Position

Description (IN PLANT ROLE-See Client-specific information below in Job Requirements.) The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with maintenance planning and scheduling, work order development, coordination with operations and maintenance teams and familiarity with industrial environments. Key requirements include: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintenance planning in a Refinery, Chemical, Petrochemical, or Oil & Gas process facility required. Minimum of five (5) years of Journeyman-level mechanical craft experience required. Minimum of five (5) years of computer knowledge and experience in but not limited to scheduling software, MS Office Suite, and CMMS programs, such as SAP or Maximo required. Maximo experience preferred and Prometheus experience preferred NCCR certification for mechanical craft preferred The role will be primarily office-based but requires regular field presence, including working around industrial equipment, climbing stairs/ladders/scaffolding, and wearing appropriate PPE. The position follows a rotating four (4) day, ten (10) hour schedule, with occasional evening or weekend work as required by job duties. Travel is expected to be less than 10%.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintenance planning in a Refinery, Chemical, Petrochemical, or Oil & Gas process facility required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Journeyman-level mechanical craft experience required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of computer knowledge and experience in but not limited to scheduling software, MS Office Suite, and CMMS programs, such as SAP or Maximo required.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), with additional specialized training or college course work and at least six (6) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
  • Advanced MS Excel training and knowledge.
  • Extensive knowledge with scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, etc.).
  • Extensive knowledge of field construction and plant maintenance activities,
  • Understanding of schedule controls methodology.
  • Extensive knowledge of resource monitoring techniques such as CPM networks, plus understanding of construction technology, process systems and structures.
  • Able to develop schedule from documentation.
  • Strong written, verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Problem recognition and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding.
  • Ability to walk on even and uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to wear PPE including fire retardant clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, respirator.
  • Ability to enter confined spaces.
  • Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year.
  • Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 15 minutes without a break.
  • Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted.
  • Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection.
  • Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk and hear.
  • Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Maximo experience preferred and Prometheus experience preferred
  • NCCR certification for mechanical craft preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks related to the development and tracking of schedules.
  • Gather and input data into scheduling software programs.
  • Maintain schedule and update, as needed.
  • Gather and analyze information to prepare reports.
  • Evaluate critical path, manpower, resources, and equipment.
  • Report to a Manager.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
