About The Position
Way Engineering is a Mechanical Contractor located in Houston, specializing in commercial air conditioning, plumbing, and mechanical piping, as well as the maintenance of these systems. We are currently seeking Mechanical Piping Detailers to join our team in the Houston office. This position is crucial as we are at the forefront of design-build/design-assist, preconstruction, commissioning, building information modeling (BIM), and quality control. As a Mechanical Piping Detailer, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans for mechanical piping systems, ensuring that all designs meet the necessary specifications and standards. You will work closely with the lead detailer and other team members to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to take direction from the lead detailer. A willingness to learn and improve current skills is essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. You will utilize various software tools, including Navisworks Manage, Fabrication CAD MEP, AutoCAD, and REVIT, to create detailed designs. Additionally, some basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Bluebeam is required. Experience in construction field installation or shop experience is a plus, as it will enhance your understanding of the practical applications of your designs.
