About The Position

Urgently Hiring. Location: Montebello, CA Pay Rate: $26 to $32 per hour based on experience. Schedule: 1st | OT during peak production Weekly Pay | Full Time | Temp to Hire Seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a family‑owned precision grinding company with 30+ years in business, serving the electronics, aerospace, and general commercial industries. Small, tight‑knit team of 20–30 employees, operating 2 shifts in a clean, climate‑controlled environment. Known for high‑tolerance grinding, quality craftsmanship, and long‑term employee growth. What You’ll Do Diagnose & repair mechanical issues on grinders, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, presses, hydraulic/pneumatic systems Perform precision alignment, bearing installs, balancing, tolerance‑critical repairs Lead major repairs, shutdowns & emergency maintenance Conduct root cause analysis and improve PM/PdM procedures Read mechanical drawings, schematics & manuals Document work in CMMS Mentor Level 1–2 mechanics and support production reliability Follow all safety procedures (LOTO, machine guarding, confined space)

Requirements

• 5+ years industrial mechanical maintenance experience
• Strong troubleshooting & diagnostics skills
• Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems
• Precision measurement tools (micrometers, indicators)
• Welding/fabrication a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• PPE: safety glasses, steel‑toe shoes, hearing protection as needed

Nice To Haves

• Grinding machine experience
• Balancing techniques
• CMMS experience
• Additional welding/fab skills (Company will train on these)

Responsibilities
