About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician Apprentice to join our manufacturing team for 3rd shift, in Decatur, IL- 10pm- 6:30am! The Industrial Maintenance Apprentice will have the opportunity to assist and job shadow senior technicians, improving job skill and industry exposure while performing preventive maintenance on a wide variety of facility and process related equipment, such as industrial electrical systems and lighting, overhead doors, pumps and motors, valves, conveyors, motors, pumps, electrical control systems, automated equipment and piping, etc.

Responsibilities

Conducts planned preventive maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance actions (lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc.) as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Reviews and submits work order updates to planner scheduler.
Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required.
Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.
Operates a PC with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
