About The Position

This position with WM Technologies, LLC, an affiliate of SPX Enterprises, LLC, involves planning and supervising maintenance personnel in improvements, repairs, and preventive maintenance on all foundry equipment, machining equipment, and facility. The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will direct Electricians, Maintenance Technicians, and Laborers to achieve a 100% uptime goal while supporting manufacturing to improve safety, quality, maximize productivity, and contribute to the overall profitability of the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years combined industrial, mechanical, and electrical experience.
  • 2+ years of leadership / supervisor experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Foundry Experience with machine tool concepts.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated, strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems. Experience with JD Edwards is a plus.
  • Ability to accept change and adapt to schedules changes due to fluctuations in customer demands.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple departments to achieve best customer & company results.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and supervise all repair activities associated with equipment and facility maintenance.
  • Direct the workforce in their work assignments.
  • Provide guidance in troubleshooting of plant equipment.
  • Lead and manage the maintenance team in all preventative maintenance and repair activities associated with equipment and facility maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
  • Identify potential mechanical risks in the manufacturing process and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Develop, schedule, and complete necessary capital projects.
  • Work with contractors and vendors to provide oversight.
  • Promote good working relationships among all foundry employees including Union, Management, and Quality Assurance personnel.
  • Promote and develop SPX leadership standards.
  • Responsible for training and developing maintenance technicians.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
  • Encourage collaboration and innovation, while maintaining a positive work environment that leads to the retention and growth of employees.
  • Evaluate performance and provide feedback to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Promote and direct good safety and housekeeping practices.
  • Use ERP system and other technology to prepare reports for planning, performance monitoring, issue identification, and improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records including production reports, inventory data, safety logs, employee performance records, time and attendance records.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement throughout the facility to enhance efficiency, equipment performance, quality, reduce cost, and optimize operations.
  • Participate in other projects as assigned that relate to the overall goals of the department and organization.
