About The Position

Works directly for the Facilities Management Program Manager in the construction, repair and preventative maintenance of various utilities and building infrastructure systems within the Roswell Park campus; works assigned shift and primarily on systems, including but not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, steam and condensate, chilled water and condensing water, domestic, sewer and fire protection water systems; works occasionally on electrical, painting, and carpentry work; performs troubleshooting and repair activities; participates proactively in the energy conservation initiatives of the organization; assists in carrying out Joint Commission (TJC) related activities. The starting annual salary for this position is $66,690 and this can include a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time experience in several aspects of the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of facilities systems, including experience in two (2) or more of the following system types: steam and condensate systems, chilled and condenser water systems, heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, fire protection systems, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
  • NOTE: Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
  • Ability to work alone without much supervision and needs minimal direction to accomplish daily tasks.
  • Familiar with managing all facilities maintenance aspects of a self-contained property, including but not limited to exterior snow removal, lawn care, and exterior facade and interior repairs.
  • Proven ability to manage tenants, accomplish work requests, and hire term contractors for other, more technical or lengthy repairs.
