The Maintenance Planner is accountable for development of comprehensive work packages, supporting excellence in execution of the right work at the right time, by multi-discipline trades, including internal and external department resources for a broad cross-section of equipment. Planners are recognized for their expertise in applying planning process 'best practices' and should be capable of planning work for multi-discipline trades against a broad cross-section of equipment. The focus is on job planning, not craft planning. Planners typically require equipment knowledge breadth and capability to interact and plan for multi-discipline trades. A 'craft' background (certificate of qualification) is beneficial.
