About The Position

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with strong experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environments. This role is responsible for planning and executing preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and shutdown maintenance activities, as well as ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and maintenance planning.

Requirements

3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment such as: Steel plant Pipe manufacturing Paper mill Mining Cement plant Automotive stamping Petrochemical plant Heavy manufacturing
2+ years of preventive maintenance / shutdown planning ownership
Experience reading mechanical drawings and schematics
Experience conducting or training others on LOTO and Job Safety Analysis
Experience working with CMMS / SAP / maintenance planning systems

Responsibilities

Plan and execute preventive, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance activities
Take ownership of maintenance planning and scheduling , not just execution
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, compressors, motors, chains, sprockets, and rollers
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and equipment schematics
Ensure spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials are available for planned jobs
Coordinate with production and operations teams to minimize downtime
Lead and participate in shutdown planning and execution
Conduct toolbox talks, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training
Ensure safety procedures and OSHA standards are followed
Maintain maintenance records using CMMS / SAP / ERP systems
Train and guide maintenance technicians and machinists when required
Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in maintenance areas
