This hands-on role maintains, repairs, and improves complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production equipment. It combines mechanic, planning/scheduling, and mentoring duties, with occasional shift coverage and utility oversight to support site operations. Should be prepared to obtain a 1st Class City of Rochester Stationary Engineer license within five years. Requirements

  • A formal secondary education is essential to ensure foundational math, reading, problem-solving, and technical comprehension skills needed for maintenance tasks and documentation.
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency using SAP for maintenance tasks, including work order creation, planning, scheduling, notifications, parts management, and equipment history tracking.
  • Familiarity with SAP PM/CMMS modules is essential for success in the role.

Responsibilities

  • Plan out plant repairs & improvements in facility and ordering materials through SAP and receiving quotes from vendor
  • Provide oversite for contractors that are working for maintenance
  • Shift coverage for vacations, etc
  • Hands-on plant work: repairs, PMs, etc
  • Train and develop Team members
  • Ensure Technical plant availability
  • Ensure safety and environmental requirements
  • Lead and coaches team
