About The Position

The Mechanical Intern position at AECOM offers an opportunity for students pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering to gain hands-on experience in designing and building mechanical HVAC systems. The intern will work under the supervision of a senior mechanical engineer in a collaborative environment, contributing to various projects while developing professional skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with at least one year of study completed.
• Recent graduates with a bachelor's degree and plans to pursue a master's degree in a similar discipline are eligible to apply.

Nice To Haves

• Assist in the production of all phases of the design process.
• General knowledge of architectural and engineering drawings.
• Some knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Well organized and possesses an innovative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of assignments and tasks designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities while working under close supervision.
• Assist with calculations, drafting, and setting up project design plans and documents.
• Provide HVAC and plumbing equipment research support.
• Communicate with vendors and coordinate learning sessions.
