About The Position

Amazon is seeking a Mechanical Integration Lead to drive the successful installation, integration, and deployment of automation and material handling systems across multiple facilities. This role provides mechanical engineering expertise in complex automation environments, ensuring projects meet Amazon’s safety, timeline, cost, and quality standards. The Mechanical Integration Lead will collaborate across engineering, supply chain, and operations to implement scalable solutions, resolve technical issues, and deliver high-impact results across large, multi-site programs. As a Operations Engineer II, you will serve as a technical expert in the integration and deployment of automation and material handling solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate across organizations to drive implementations and improvements across multiple sites.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with the project management of technical projects
  • Ability to travel 50% or more domestically

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level
  • Experience working with and managing third party vendors
  • Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of complex projects with multi-site impact ($10M to $50M scope)
  • Provide technical expertise for automation initiatives across assigned sites
  • Implement technical solutions and lead project level decisions
  • Follow and help develop technical standards and best practices
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams
  • Participate in technical reviews and drive engineering excellence
  • Implement scalable solutions across assigned facilities
  • Recommend and implement process improvements
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Drive achievement of safety, timeline, cost, and quality metrics
  • Provide technical input to leadership for decision-making
  • Manage relationships with vendors and partners
