About The Position

Teaching mechanical training courses for customers regarding mechanical concepts, techniques, and skills as determined by the needs of the client. Fabricate client specific equipment as needed based on client needs and documentation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High School diploma and 8 years of relevant experience OR
Associates degree in relevant industrial or technical field and 4 years relevant technical experience OR
Bachelor’s degree in relevant business or technical field and 2 years relevant technical experience
Prior classroom instructor experience
Prior experience in instructional content design
Technical writing experience
Proven technical competence in the following fields: Pumps Valves Mechanical drive trains (belt, chain, and gear drives) Precision alignment methods including laser alignment Pneumatics Hydraulics Piping Pipefitting

Content development experience (PREFERRED)

Responsibilities

Lifting and arraigning of equipment up to 50 lbs.
Flexibility to travel to client
Setup and breakdown of equipment used in classroom and hands on training.
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint
Detail Oriented
Collaborate with client to review existing training course materials and refine course delivery for specific audiences to achieve training objectives
Conduct quality review of data created to support course delivery
Set a positive tone for the training, including clearly setting expectations for the course, encouraging participation, and using positive reinforcement techniques
Monitor class evaluations to ensure customer satisfaction
Provide sales support activities as deemed appropriate
Build and fabricate training equipment, suggesting design changes as necessary
