Requirements

  • 2+ years of mechanical installation, industrial assembly, or construction experience.
  • Experience with precision mechanical assembly, rigging, or track‑based systems is preferred.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, installation diagrams, and torque specifications.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in cleanroom environments.
  • Understanding of hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement tools.

Responsibilities

  • Install AMHS OHT (Overhead Transport) track sections, curves, switches, and support assemblies.
  • Perform mechanical alignment, leveling, and torqueing of track components to meet specifications.
  • Assist in the installation of stocker mechanical interfaces, lift stations, and structural supports.
  • Verify mechanical clearances, spacing, and tolerances throughout the AMHS pathway.
  • Assemble mechanical subcomponents, including hangers, brackets, track joints, and expansion sections.
  • Support integration of mechanical components with electrical and controls teams.
  • Assist in system testing and inspection to ensure proper movement and alignment of OHT vehicles.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, installation manuals, and customer engineering standards.
  • Perform quality checks on installed components to ensure compliance with AMHS vendor requirements.
  • Conduct field adjustments and troubleshoot alignment issues during installation.
  • Follow internal and customer safety protocols at all times, including cleanroom procedures.
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job hazard assessments.
  • Work closely with the Superintendent, Project Manager, and vendor field engineers.
  • Coordinate tasks with electrical and commissioning teams to support installation sequencing.
  • Report daily progress, issues, and material needs to supervisory staff.
