SMALL MOTOR INSPECTOR

Electric Motor & Contracting Company, Inc., founded in 1960, is one of the largest independently owned repair facilities for electrical rotating machinery, pumps, and switchgear in the United States. We are conveniently located in Hampton Roads, Virginia just miles from Virginia Beach and Norfolk. We are currently seeking a Mechanical Inspector. Job Description: Responsible for independent peer inspections. Verify as-found component drawings for manufacturing. Accurately complete required paperwork. Perform various mechanical tasks when not carrying out inspections.
Requirements
- Experience using mechanical measurement tools (micrometers, scales, vernier/dial calipers,etc).
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work overtime/flexible hours as needed
Responsibilities
