About The Position

You will be the Mechanical Inspector for the Inspection team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of mechanical components through precise inspections and rigorous standards. As the Mechanical Inspector you will be responsible for performing detailed mechanical inspections and supporting quality initiatives across our manufacturing processes. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Requirements

  • 2 years, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to read blueprint, work instructions and interpret engineering drawing requirements.
  • Proficient computing literacy.
  • Basic Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
  • Demonstrated ability to use basic measuring devices such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers.
  • Familiar with AS9102 First Article Process and documenting results.
  • Must be able to demonstrate good training skills and effectively apply them to your peers.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, with both internal and external customers.
  • Experience working successfully in a team environment.
  • Must be able to support a flexible work schedule supporting overtime, off-Fridays, weekends, and/or alternate shifts to support product schedules as required.
  • Must be able to pass visual acuity and color perception exam.
  • Must be US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in various fabrication areas and/or previous inspection experience.
  • Demonstrated computer skills areas of LM tools including SAP, Apriso, Command Media, PAL and Windchill.
  • Navigating SAP/Apriso in areas concerning confirmations, reviewing characteristics, and Nonconformances.
  • Technical writing for documenting issues on rejection paperwork.
  • Ability to obtain a Government Security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct dimensional, in‑process, final, and receiving inspections on fabricated, subcontracted, and purchased parts.
  • Utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other technical inspection equipment to verify compliance.
  • Interpret blueprints, GD&T per ASME Y14.5, and maintain accurate inspection documentation.
  • Train and assist new personnel on inspection techniques and quality procedures.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with statistical process controls.
