Our West Coast healthcare team is looking for a Healthcare Mechanical Engineering Leader to join our multi-disciplinary team anchored in Los Angeles. The Opportunity Leading multi-disciplinary design projects, specifically healthcare and providing leadership to the team. Comprehensive understanding of design of mechanical systems including complete airside systems, heating and cooling hydronic plant systems, specialty exhaust systems, and steam systems Represent Arup as a whole and communicate with clients regarding project goals and financials, Ensure that contracts are in alignment with the firm's commercial objectives and risk tolerance Implement the healthcare business development strategies to win new projects Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients Oversee the preparation of proposals and bid submissions and negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions Assisting and supervising staff on a variety of project, primarily in Healthcare Working in collaboration with different stakeholders and code officials such as HCAi to deliver integrated projects through construction. Coordinating with multiple disciplines and working in conjunction with project managers to deliver comprehensive and coordinated design deliverables Assisting, Supervising or mentoring team members and delivering timely feedback and recognition to others Prepare drawings, specifications, technical reports and presentation materials and incorporate sustainable design methods in buildings. Participating in local Professional Associations. Responsible for quality standards, commercial metrics, and client relations for projects
