The Mechanical Fitter / Heavy Equipment Operator position involves maintaining a positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity as a unified goal. The role requires the use of hand-held controls to operate an overhead crane in a safe and efficient manner. The operator will work closely with the shipping team and production crew to ensure that parts are moved and staged in accordance with business needs. Additionally, the position involves reading blueprints to install copper and aluminum conductors using hand tools and torque wrenches. The candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs. consistently and safely, provide troubleshooting assistance, document and report all production quality requirements and any performance gaps, and provide support for general engineering and electrical activities as required. Overtime may be required when the workload demands.
