About The Position
ENTEK is seeking applications for a Mechanical Engineering Supervisor to join us on-site at our Henderson, Nevada, location (relocation within 40 miles of Henderson is required). The role involves leading a team of design engineers to produce innovative and reliable designs, managing complex engineering projects to meet time and budget targets and client expectations, and communicating with clients to identify their needs and develop and finalize the scope and specifications for engineering projects. The supervisor will also develop budgets, monitor actual expenses to ensure project costs are kept within budget, and find reduction cost pathways. Additionally, the position requires writing a complete project scope for engineering projects in collaboration with technical leads, reporting on engineering project status, schedule updates, and budget to stakeholders, and providing technical engineering support to sales and purchasing departments. The supervisor will design steam systems, machine tools, material handling systems, piping, and industrial production equipment used in manufacturing, in collaboration with other engineers and designers. Following Lean manufacturing processes utilizing tools such as Kaizens, 5S, RIE’s, and other work area standards is also essential. The role includes overseeing and coordinating activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems, supervising contractors on-site/off-site to ensure budgetary, planning, and safety parameters are followed, managing the workflow of supervised employees, creating schedules and project assignments, training new hires, assessing employee performance, and ensuring and maintaining teams’ safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
