Chemours is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Co-op to join our Manufacturing Technology team! This position will report directly to the technology department's co-op coordinator. As a Mechanical Engineer Co-op, you will work closely with the Manufacturing Technology team gaining valuable experience through hands-on projects in a chemical plant. You will have exposure to real-time engineering work alongside other engineers to apply what you've learned in the classroom. Effective engineering co-ops will have the ability to communicate with impact, have strong self-awareness, and will be naturally inquisitive. This role is designed for students who are eager to learn and contribute to the field of mechanical engineering within a dynamic and innovative environment. The co-op position is located in Corpus Christi, TX, and requires a regular full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. Candidates must be able to commit to at least a total of six (6) months as a co-op, with a preferred start date in Spring 2025. This opportunity will allow you to analyze equipment performance, conduct failure analysis investigations, participate in process safety management activities, and contribute to team meetings and conference calls. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to improving processes and ensuring safety in a chemical manufacturing setting, making a real impact on the operations and efficiency of the plant.
