About The Position
The Mechanical Engineering Professional Senior position at SPECTRAFORCE is a pivotal role within the Energy & Power Solutions team, located in Cary, NC. This position is designed for a senior-level mechanical engineer who will play a leading role in addressing the complexities of decarbonization and enhancing the reliability and sustainability of energy solutions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to mentor and manage junior and mid-level mechanical engineering staff while collaborating closely with clients to deliver exceptional services in the energy sector. This role is integral to the company's strategy formation, business development, and sales efforts as they expand their energy transition portfolio. In this position, the engineer will engage with clients to evaluate their energy needs, develop concept-level plans and solutions, and guide these through detailed design to ensure full execution of the solutions. The role requires a broad understanding of mechanical and process engineering disciplines, with a strong emphasis on consulting, design, design management, and project management. Experience in Owner's Engineer roles, contract management, and advisory roles will be highly regarded. The primary focus will be on leading a mechanical engineering team to provide advisory services and engineering design solutions across various market sectors. Collaboration with Client Account Managers and sales professionals on strategic pursuits is also a key responsibility. Candidates should possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to anticipate challenges and manage project delivery effectively. This hybrid position requires regular work from the Raleigh office and local client sites, with a commitment to developing reliable and sustainable energy projects.
