As the facilities Mechanical Engineering Owner's Representative, you will work on projects that enable the heart of our clients' manufacturing in Boise, ID. You and the other team members will work closely with client owners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - in this role you would work on the client's behalf to review designs, specs and drawings - provide feedback and comment. Technical engineering responsibilities include design and oversight for piping and ducting for equipment heating, cooling, exhaust, and process chemicals and gasses in some of the most complex, densely packed industrial facilities on the planet. The design may include retrofit of existing building systems to accommodate tool installation including engineering calculations, equipment and component sizing, selection, and specification, and support during construction and integration into the factory. The successful candidate will be responsible for interfacing with client and site personnel, driving design and construction documents through the review process with a team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET Accredited University.
  • At least 7 years of practical application of mechanical facilities engineering, including HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, and related mechanical facilities systems.
  • At least 5 years of design project delivery processes experience.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and leadership experience.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years of experience working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools, either their manufacture, installation, or use in cleanrooms.
  • Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Forward-thinking, eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideas.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base.
  • Passion for buildings and construction.
  • 3 years field experience.
  • EIT or PE license.

Responsibilities

  • Work on projects that enable the heart of our clients' manufacturing.
  • Establish design requirements and produce construction documents for the installation of complex manufacturing tools and facilities infrastructure mechanical systems.
  • Design and oversee piping and ducting for equipment heating, cooling, exhaust, and process chemicals and gasses.
  • Retrofit existing building systems including engineering calculations, equipment and component sizing, selection, and specification.
  • Support during construction and integration into the factory.
  • Review design packages consisting of P&IDs, layout drawings, details, and equipment plans.
  • Review submittals, RFIs, and construction documents.
