About The Position

Our ENERCON Federal Services Group is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineering Associate Manager or Mechanical Engineering Manager. In this role, your leadership will not only drive project success, but it will also help us achieve overall business goals. This position can be located in one of the following locations: Kennesaw, GA; Dallas, TX; FT Worth, TX; Naperville, IL; Aiken, SC; Overland Park, KS; Kennewick, WA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university, or equivalent work and training in a related role.
  • Associate Manager: Minimum of 3 years of design engineering experience in Nuclear, Federal, DOE, Industrial or power generation and EIT, 5 years of experience preferred.
  • Manager: Minimum of 6 years of design engineering experience with 2 years of leadership and professional engineering license.
  • Writing, presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a dynamic team, balancing priorities, ensuring quality, and meeting deadlines while driving project success.
  • Act as the key liaison, approving designs, mentoring engineers, and building strong client relationships.
  • Foster growth, solve technical challenges, and ensure the unit thrives—delivering outstanding results and advancing both individual and company success.
  • Interface with clients to ensure quality and deadlines on exciting design projects.
  • Lead various internal engineering disciplines and delegate project roles.
  • Prepare design studies, scopes, and engineering estimates.
  • Develop mechanical system procurement specs, evaluate bids, and select equipment.
  • Perform mechanical, HVAC, hydraulic, piping system calculations and solve complex technical problems.
  • Travel for walkdowns, field installations, and start-up.
