About The Position

Lead, develop and motivate a talented team of engineers responsible for the development of Resideo Global Climate Solutions mechanical control products. You will leverage your technical experience and skills to guide your team in the investigation and solution of challenging technical problems. You will use your leadership abilities to motivate and energize teams that are designing new or modifying existing products, parts, or processes while using advanced standards, methodologies, and tools. By collaborating with customers and broader engineering teams, you will balance team workload and drive exceptional team performance with high impact for the business. Influence & challenge engineering teams to effectively solve complex engineering problems. Accelerate innovation and growth while leading a team of talented engineers. Partner with customers and broader engineering teams to ensure the resources and skills needed to drive business growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
  • Experience in the fields of mechanical engineering, thermodynamics and/or combustion

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in coordinating and overseeing entry to senior level professionals
  • Demonstrated competence in navigating cultural differences to deliver exceptional customer experiences worldwide
  • Proven track of leading teams to successful project delivery

  • Competence to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
  • Ability to consistently make timely decisions and balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness, even in the face of complexity
  • Solid knowledge of product and process technologies (die casting, plastic injection molding)
  • Six Sigma green belt or Lean certification
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and autonomous, who consistently take the initiative to get things done

  • Manage talent development, employee growth, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Technical Responsibilities Apply mechanical design principles, standards, and methodologies to develop innovative products.
  • Utilize advanced engineering tools and processes to support product development and optimization.
  • Solve complex technical challenges and provide guidance to teams in creating effective solutions.
  • Strategic & Collaborative Responsibilities Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with overall business goals.
  • Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively and influence stakeholders to drive team performance and foster innovation.
