Are you a hands-on engineering leader passionate about keeping equipment running at peak performance while exploring the latest technologies? We're looking for an Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the strategy, reliability, and technology roadmap for our operations. The position will lead defining preventative maintenance procedures, drive equipment strategy, manage vendor relationships, and spearhead new equipment builds and commissioning. Your team will lead and manage capital projects - from project scoping and justification through delivery meeting safety, delivery and budget measurables are met.   • Lead and manage capital projects - from project scoping and justification through delivery meeting safety, delivery and budget measurables are met.
  • Requires one of the following: Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in engineering, business or related field of study and six (6) years of engineering experience, OR Associate's degree and twelve (12) years of engineering experience
  • Five (5) years of supervisory and/or demonstrated technical leadership experience
  • Demonstrated mastery in analyzing production equipment, processes and materials, and solving issues
  • Successfully managed and completed a large, complex engineering project
  • Advanced knowledge of facilities, EPS, plastic (thermoforming and/or injection molding), print, and/or paper equipment and processes
  • Advanced knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various products
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications
  • Advanced knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, documents, and models
  • Advanced knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of products
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, cost analysis and budgeting, people management, and leadership guidance
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to persuade and influence decision making of individuals, groups, or work teams, and to explain difficult situations
  • Ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
