About The Position

Our ENERCON Federal Services Group is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineering Associate Manager or Mechanical Engineering Manager. In this role, your leadership will not only drive project success, but it will also help us achieve overall business goals. This position can be located in our Kennesaw, GA location. You’re the key liaison, approving designs, mentoring engineers, and building strong client relationships. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university, or equivalent work and training in a related role
  • Minimum of 6 years of design engineering experience in power generation, nuclear, federal, or industrial industries
  • Requires 2 years of leadership
  • PE is required for this role
  • Writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the US without requiring current or future sponsorship.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to com pany and client policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams with a positive attitude to achieve project goals aligned with ENERCON's excellence standards
  • Interface with clients to ensure quality and deadlines on exciting design projects
  • Lead various internal engineering disciplines and delegate project roles
  • Prepare design studies, scopes, and engineering estimates
  • Develop mechanical system procurement specs, evaluate bids, and select equipment
  • Perform mechanical, HVAC, hydraulic, piping system calculations and solve complex technical problems
  • Travel for walkdowns, field installations, and start-up
