About The Position
Huntsman is excited to announce the opening of our 2025 Summer Engineering Internship Program, specifically in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering. This internship is designed for full-time students currently enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university. The program will run from May to August, with specific dates dependent on the school calendar. The primary objective of the Huntsman Intern Program is to provide a structured and enriching experience that equips interns with the necessary skills and insights to prepare for a successful career in engineering. As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge gained in your academic studies to practical, real-world scenarios within a manufacturing or research and development (R&D) environment. This internship will not only enhance your understanding of the operations of a multinational chemical company but also allow you to contribute meaningfully to various projects. You will assist in the development of Asset Life Plans, troubleshoot equipment failures, and identify corrective actions. Additionally, you will be involved in identifying process improvement opportunities related to troubleshooting efforts, participating in project scope and cost estimate development, and collaborating with engineers and construction coordinators on the installation, testing, and commissioning of newly installed devices. Your role will also include providing technical support in the field, leading small projects from conception through completion, and attending project team meetings to report on project status updates. Compliance with corporate procedures and guidelines is essential, and you will be expected to complete all required training on time. A full-time presence in the workplace is required, and the ability to work overtime may be necessary to meet daily production objectives.
