STV is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to join their Buildings team. This internship offers an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate-level candidates to work alongside an experienced team, learn, and contribute to meaningful projects. This hybrid position requires at least 3 days a week in the office. Preference will be given to those who can participate in the internship for at least 3 months and can work full-time. Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at an ABET-accredited University or NCEES equivalent.

- Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction management industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist in HVAC designs, calculations, and reports for various building projects.
- Participate in equipment selection and specification writing processes.
- Lead projects under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Mentor junior staff members and provide guidance as needed.
- Meet with clients to discuss project requirements and make recommendations based on their needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, traffic, and geotechnical engineers.
- Plan, organize, and develop engineering activities for construction and maintenance projects.
- Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Devise innovative approaches to solve engineering problems.
- Prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs.
- Monitor work to ensure compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices.
- Perform other tasks as assigned to support project goals and team objectives.
