We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. This internship offers hands-on experience in mechanical design, product development from prototyping through production support, including engineering analysis in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. You'll work closely with experienced engineers and scientists to design, fabricate, and validate components for cutting-edge analytical instrumentation.

  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and research scientists to design, prototype and test precision components and assemblies.
  • Design mechanical sub-systems using Siemens NX applying DFM/DFA principles.
  • Perform basic engineering calculations, use computer modeling software (Ansys Workbench).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, and R D) to support project development.
  • Participate in product validation, test setup, and data analysis.
  • Assist in maintaining project documentation and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
  • Contribute to process improvements and innovation initiatives.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving equipment uptime through preventative maintenance practices.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree Junior or above in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong interest in mechanical design, manufacturing, or product development.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or NX) NX preferred.
  • Basic understanding of materials, thermodynamics, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to adapt and self-educate in a dynamic work environment.
  • Intern pay rate of $25.00 - $30/hour.
