At Foth, our internships offer hands-on opportunities to develop your technical skills in a professional setting. As a Mechanical Engineering Intern with our Process Design Team in Mehoopany, PA, you’ll work directly at one of Foth’s client locations, contributing to the design and layout of process piping systems, equipment integration, and mechanical infrastructure. This Summer 2026 opportunity will expose you to industry tools and practices while giving you opportunities to solve real engineering challenges.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Experience using one of the following 3D modeling programs: Plant 3D, AutoCAD MEP, Revit, Inventor, SolidEdge, or Solidworks

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of mechanical drawings, piping & instrumentation diagrams, specifications, and documentation for piping and process equipment.
  • Participate in field verification and site walkdowns to gather data and validate existing conditions.
  • Help perform basic calculations related to fluid flow, pressure drop, and mechanical stress.
  • Support the review of vendor submittals and technical documentation for compliance with project standards.
