We're expanding our Commercial Segment, seeking to a Mechanical Engineer Intern in the Electro-Mechanical Access Control (EMAC) Engineering Team within our Access Egress Hardware Group (AEHG). This internship provides a unique opportunity to work on both New Product Development Engineering initiatives, offering valuable exposure to real-world engineering challenges and solutions. This position will sit onsite in Berlin, CT. This position will report to the Team lead for the EMAC mechanical engineering group.

  • Collaborate on New Product Development projects to design and refine innovative products.
  • Update engineering drawings and 3D models as part of the engineering change process.
  • Perform problem analysis to support product performance and reliability improvements.
  • Assist with product validation testing, then analyze and discuss test results.
  • Assist with operational support tasks to ensure seamless engineering workflows.
  • Create technical documentation, including diagrams and reports, to support project goals.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and tolerance studies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools for documentation and analysis.
