Learn more at www.aquatech.com Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Mechanical Engineering Manager to work out of our Canonsburg, PA office. The general hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
  • Twelve (12) or more years of experience
  • Knowledge of ASME piping, structural, and vessel standards: ASME B31.1, B31.3, ASME Section VIII Div. 1/Div. 2, and AWS D1.1.
  • Experience in handling large EPC projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the water treatment industry is not mandatory, but would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Mechanical Engineering team at Canonsburg to ensure documents and deliverables developed by the team are released within schedule, are accurate, and consistent with respect to project requirements & specifications.
  • Ensure AIC Engineering interface requirements are defined with the ASA / ICD / AEC groups for jobs that are jointly engineered (PWT and ZLD projects).
  • Attend Order Transfer and Turnover meetings for projects to be engineered from AIC and obtain clarity in terms of scope clarity, specification requirements & agreements made to customers.
  • Attend design review meetings for AIC-engineered jobs and Design review II (pre-Manufacturing meeting) with the Shop.
  • Attend weekly review meetings with the Head of Engineering to go over the status of deliverables and take necessary actions to ensure the schedules are met.
  • Attend weekly Project Review meetings for projects engineered at AIC.
  • Interface with purchasing & vendors to discuss/explain technical issues & provide clarifications & solutions.
  • Specification reviews for Applications (Pressure Vessels, Structural & Piping) for critical bids & develop layouts, IBOMs to applications for estimation (specific bids only)
  • Work with the other Mechanical groups in Aquatech & participate in efforts to establish common procedures and practices.
  • Participate in the CAR process to communicate issues and corrective actions to the ASA/AIC team and ensure compliance.
  • Attending meetings with customers as and when required. This may either be face-to-face meetings at AIC customer locations or VC / Teams/teleconference meetings.
  • Lead 3D model reviews with emphasis on constructability, operability, and maintainability of plants.
  • Interact withthe manufacturing shop to provide solutions and suggestions to issues encountered during assembly of skids and provide responses to Defect Notifications.
  • Ensure that Project report Cards and Design completion reports are updated and maintained per requirements.
  • Where necessary, visit sites for purposes of troubleshooting specific issues.
  • Other Duties as assigned
