About The Position

Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op at our Elyria, OH location. Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components to the aerospace and defense markets. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products Software (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Outlook).
  • CAD Drafting/3-D Solid Modeling experience a plus (Pro-E and/or AutoCAD Preferred).
  • NC Programming experience a plus.
  • Geometric Tolerancing (GD&T) experience a plus.
  • Good oral and written communication skills required to effectively present information, write reports and process instructions, and provide support to various functional groups within Lear Romec.

  • Experience with NC Programming.
  • Experience with Geometric Tolerancing (GD&T).

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine engineering-related work requiring the application of educational study and standard techniques and procedures in the manufacturing of Lear Romec products.
  • Assumes Mechanical Engineering responsibilities under the guidance of a Mechanical Engineer for projects as assigned.
  • Coordinates with the representatives of Design Engineering, Supervisors, Quality, and Purchasing, to plan and complete projects as assigned.
  • Maintains and communicates an accurate accounting of project status.
  • The work output is expected to be consistent with Lear Romec's quality and manufacturing excellence goals and objectives.
