About The Position

Emerson is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op for Spring 2025 in Cranberry Township, PA. This role is designed for engineering students looking to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment focused on automation solutions in the renewable and traditional energy sectors. The co-op will involve working closely with senior engineers, participating in real-world projects, and developing technical skills through mentorship and training.

Requirements

  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical discipline.
  • Enrolled in a formal Co-Op program as part of your bachelor's degree curriculum.
  • Ability to work on-site in Cranberry Township, PA.
  • Ability to work on customer sites that require physical skills such as lifting and climbing.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of a global, collaborative, and innovative team passionate about solving complex electrical, mechanical, and software problems.
  • Learn about automation solutions for project processes and products to meet customer demands.
  • Contribute to application design and engineering execution of projects.
  • Provide new and diverse ideas to the engineering and management teams.
  • Build and develop technical capabilities through hands-on experience.
  • Work in an office, travel to the field, visit vendors, and observe system manufacturing and testing activities.
  • Receive real-world application of engineering principles balanced with customer needs and financial/schedule constraints.
  • Collaborate with other co-ops on certain cross-functional projects.
  • Complete three on-site rotations as a co-op engineer.
