Entrust is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op student to join our team for a 6 month experience in Shakopee, MN at our Corporate headquarters. Join Entrust as a co-op student in our Engineering Group. Gain hands-on experience in your focus area of study. The Program allows undergraduate students an opportunity to gain experience and develop skills through challenging work assignments that truly add value to the business. Become part of an innovative and skilled team of mechanical engineers and designers dedicated to creating systems for the printing and personalization of credit cards, passports, driver's licenses, national IDs, and more. Gain hands-on experience through challenging work assignments that truly add value to the business. Collaborate on cross-functional teams to develop meaningful products. As a member of the product development team, you will work closely with other engineers and designers to achieve project objectives. The products you help create will incorporate a wide array of printing technologies and various mechanical and electro-mechanical components and processes, such as injection-molded plastic, sheet metal, machining, rubber molding, power transmission, DC motors, lasers, and sensors.

  • Technical problem solving
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Work closely with and take work direction from Mechanical Engineers
  • Develop solutions for design problems
  • Create or modify solid models of parts
  • Create and review part drawings
  • Participate in design reviews
  • Prototype and test designs
  • Provide solutions and recommendations for technical problems
  • Pursuing a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Solid Modeling experience
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
  • SolidWorks 3-D Solid Modeling experience
  • Matlab and Simulink experience
  • Control System Development Experience
  • Knowledge working with mechanical and electromechanical products
  • Knowledge with sheet metal, machined part design
  • Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills
  • Strong interest in product design
  • Commitment to learning and continuous improvement
  • Detail-oriented, deadline driven, self-directed and organized
  • Ability to excel in highly interactive cross-functional team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
