The Global Filter Mechanical Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager and will be based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Mechanical Engineer position is critical to our business both in terms of long-term success and day-to-day operations. This individual is responsible for supporting Global Filter's goals & objectives by utilizing lean manufacturing concepts, transitioning new products from design to manufacturing, and maximizing overall effectiveness in accordance with organizational needs. The Mechanical Engineer will identify & solve problems by implementing effective solutions and ensuring safety is a top priority. The position requires frequent interaction with all members of the organization, and occasional interaction with vendors and customers. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated quick learner with a strong bias for action. The candidate will possess a customer-centric mindset, exceptional attitude, strong attention to detail, sound communication skills, willingness to develop an in-depth understanding of products and accounts, and the motivation necessary to provide clear and effective solutions. The person must be tenacious at heart and enjoy the challenge of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles. The Mechanical Engineer will possess an entrepreneurial mindset, and a team-player focus to quickly and effectively collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve problems.
