About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer applies specific functional knowledge and general industry knowledge to develop or contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. The role involves working independently with some guidance and reviewing or guiding the activities of junior employees.

Requirements

  • Experience in conducting and coordinating research, design, development, and engineering activities.
  • Knowledge of conducting specific research and trade-off analysis, executing market surveys, and investigating technology transfer or insertion opportunities.
  • Ability to develop requirements and specifications, monitor contract and testing activities, conduct failure and cost reduction analysis, production engineering, configuration management, and technical field support.
  • Ability to prepare and review test plans, observe tests and analyze test results to determine adequacy of system and subsystem performance, and recommend corrective action to eliminate deficiencies.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
