Under the direction of Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Engineer is responsible for performing engineering duties in planning and designing tools, furnaces, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. Oversees installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of such equipment.

Requirements

• A B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering education
• At least five years of directly related experience 0-5 years experience
• Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communicational skills
• Good mechanical, analytical, and technical skills
• Ability to work as an individual contributor or team player
• Solid knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D Solid Modeling (Solid Edge preferred), and Microsoft office software

Responsibilities

• Develop design from technical specification to manufacturing documentation
• Prepares design sketches, layouts, and schematics as part of a design team
• Select raw materials and components; develop specifications for product
• Develop cost estimates based on specs
• Performs stress analysis (FEA), analyze data, prepare reports, and make comparisons with similar proven designs
• Travel of up to 20% may be required
