We’re seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to support the design, analysis, detailing, and quality assurance of mechanical systems for diverse building projects. The ideal candidate has foundational experience in mechanical engineering and works well in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment to help ensure mechanical designs meet quality standards, applicable codes, and client expectations. This position will report to our office location in Arlington, TN. Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3–6 years of experience in mechanical engineering design for building systems
  • Proficiency in Revit and mechanical design/analysis software
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical design principles and construction methods
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, IMC, IPC, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering in Training (EIT) certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, analysis, and modeling of mechanical systems using industry-standard software and tools
  • Support the development of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for commercial and institutional buildings
  • Prepare mechanical calculations, drawings, and specifications under the direction of senior engineers
  • Utilize Revit and other BIM tools to develop coordinated mechanical designs
  • Participate in field inspections, job site visits, and inspection reports on a periodic basis as needed
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, designers, and internal departments to support design feasibility, constructability, and compliance with applicable codes and standards
  • Support quality control reviews of mechanical documents and calculations
  • Maintain effective communication with project teams to meet project schedules and deliverables
  • Assist with proposal development, scope definition, and technical support as needed
