The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible of the customization of mechanical and electrical devices, metal carpentry and of the integration of 3rd parties electronic peripherals. Support the business with CAD design with SolidWorks, renders, prototype development, and hands-on integration and tests. Create and maintain accurate BOM’s for use by purchasing and operations. They will also create, develop, and test mechanical systems, machines, and components using CAD software. They oversee the product lifecycle — from conceptualization and prototyping to operations —ensuring efficiency, safety, and functionality. Key tasks include simulation, material selection, design validation, and troubleshooting, often using tools like SolidWorks or Creo.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • CAD Proficiency: Expert knowledge of 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Creo, or NX.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of engineering principles and materials science
  • Prior experience in product design, machine design, or a similar role (often 2-5+ years)

Responsibilities

  • Design and Development: Create, analyze, and refine detailed mechanical designs, components, and assemblies using 3D CAD programs.
  • Prototyping and Testing: Build prototypes, perform simulation (FEA/CFD), and conduct physical tests to validate functionality, durability, and reliability.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Generate technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and specifications following industry standards (e.g., ASME).
  • Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and assist with assembly issues.
  • Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and technical documentation from concept to production
