GBA, a professional, full service architectural and engineering firm is seeking a qualified candidate to fill an entry level Mechanical Engineer position in our Mission Critical group in our Lenexa, Kansas office. This group specializes in the Mission Critical industry and serves many of the top Information Technology companies as an integrated team of architects, engineers, commissioning specialists, and project managers. As an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer, you'll: Air-side mechanical systems design including DX and chilled water AHUs, ductwork sizing, computational fluid dynamics modeling, and computer room air-handling units. Water-side mechanical systems design including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and piping. HVAC load calculations Facility evaluations, engineering studies, and trouble shooting Commissioning

Requirements

  • BS in Architectural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • 0 2 years of experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Have already passed or is scheduled to take the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
  • Must have a working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Organizational skills with an attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Interest working in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to sit, stand at a desk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to look at a computer screen for extended periods.
