JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices.
Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.
Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendation to maintenance crew.
Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software.
Lab testing of electric drive components and systems – performance and durability testing, failure / root cause investigation.
Conduct detailed inspections and root cause investigation into motor and generator failures. Inspections involve hands-on work, consisting of electrical checks, visual inspections, x-ray review, material and fluid analysis

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering and 1-2 year experience
• Electrical testing experience, product development experience, failure analysis
• Organization, documentation and communication
