Serco supports the US Army as a prime contractor for their Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) contract which supports implementing capabilities that enable the service to employ Command Posts (CP) across the operational spectrum. Our team develops, integrates, and maintains modern and mobile solutions for an integrated CP infrastructure. You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco functional area teams to deliver quality systems and associated supporting documentation. The team has been recognized by the Army Customer and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the program. In this role, you will: Support the design, development, and integration of engineering solutions for tactical platforms, shelters, and modular systems under the guidance of senior engineers and engineering leads. Perform engineering design evaluations, analysis, and trade studies to support product development and system improvements. Develop and update engineering drawings, models, and documentation in accordance with established standards and procedures. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Technical Data Package (TDP) elements, including drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and interface documentation. Recommend design modifications or process improvements to enhance product quality, performance, manufacturability, or sustainment. Participate in design reviews, configuration audits, and technical working groups. Support prototype builds, integration activities, and validation testing efforts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, logistics, and program management to ensure designs meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements. Interface with suppliers and subcontractors as needed to support engineering deliverables. Follow established engineering processes, quality management procedures, and configuration control practices.
