About The Position

As a Mechanical Engineer in Shoreview, MN, you will: Design and develop custom machinery, including cranes, refueling systems, and other specialized mechanical equipment Engineer and analyze large welded structures, ensuring strength, durability, and manufacturability Perform advanced mechanical analysis and calculations using FEA tools and MathCAD Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine concepts, validate designs, and support prototype builds Provide engineering support throughout the product lifecycle, from concept through production Ensure designs meet safety, performance, and regulatory requirements Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners across Minnesota Contribute to projects that impact communities in Faribault, Northfield, Owatonna, Waseca, and the greater Twin Cities Apply your skills in a dynamic environment that values ownership and innovation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years’ of experience with cranes, refueling machines, or other heavy/custom mechanical systems
  • Strong proficiency in mechanical analysis, including FEA and engineering calculations
  • Hands-on experience with large welded assemblies and structural design
  • Ability to work onsite in Shoreview, MN and collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, detail-oriented approach to engineering challenges
  • Capable of working independently and as a team member
  • Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity
